Dedication

These contributions to the neurosciences are dedicated to the memory and humanitarian vision of the late Shri. T. S. Srinivasan. The youngest son of Shri. T. V. Sundaram Iyengar, Shri. T. S. Srinivasan began his career with the TVS Group companies and was noted for his innovative ideas. He not only modernised the services and facilities of the Group companies, but also guided their entrance into the manufacture of critical automotive components. His dynamism and enterprise culminated in the establishment of several manufacturing units in collaboration with leading international organisations. His foresight was also responsible for the manufacture of powered two-wheelers for personal transportation.
The Patron's Desk
As we reach the rather unique milestone of the forty first T.S. Srinivasan Oration, it is for our family, a time to reflect on the evolution of this program. When our family friend and medical philosopher, Late Dr. Krishnamoorthy Srinivas, Suggested we establish an annual oration, in honour of our beloved father, little did we know that it would endure four decades and evolve in the way that it has.
Our Journey
That the T. S. Srinivasan oration has become the definitive event, every February, in the Indian neurosciences calendar, is testimony to the consistent effort made by Mr. Venu Srinivasan and Late Professor Krishnamoorthy Srinivas, in identifying leaders in the field, who could bring their vast knowledge and experience to Indian shores.
